Lauren Rei Watters is a New York based artist and illustrator known for her surreal paintings and exploration of memory and intergenerational connections. Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and works primarily with oils, acrylic, and digital mediums. Drawing inspiration from her Japanese-American heritage and mixed-race identity, Lauren blends traditional techniques with personal narratives. Her work has been featured in exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. Through her art, Lauren offers viewers a glimpse into her personal experiences and memories, creating pieces that evoke emotion and challenge perceptions.
